Woodstock Blvd, leading to the Woodstock shopping area, library, and recreational areas, is served by TriMet bus Line #19. SE Woodstock has direct access to I-205. SE 39th Avenue, running north-south through Portlandâ€™s east side, is served by line #75, which runs from Milwaukie to St Johns. It has direct access to the MAX light rail at NE 42nd at the Hollywood Transit Center. SE Holgate Blvd is a major traffic arterial from west to east; at its westend, it exits northbound onto McLoughlin Blvd toward downtown Portland. Holgate Avenue is served by the # 17 bus line. Bisecting the Reed Neighborhood is SE Steele Street, served by the #10 bus line.
Designated bike lanes through Reed Neighborhood include: North/South along SE 28th, and east/west along SE Woodstock and SE Steele. Metro has approved the extension of light rail to Portlandâ€™s east side. The line, from Portland to Milwaukie, will follow McLoughlin Blvd. with stops north and south of Reed at Holgate and Bybee. A future station at Harold Street would directly serve this neighborhood.
